The back bracket is threaded to secure the screws.

After the brackets and tube edges have been attached, place the two stabilizing brackets against the
back bracket, with the fanned edges resting against the top and bottom edges of the rubber tube, as
shown. Attach the stabilizing brackets to the back bracket with the four locking nuts, holding the
nuts with a socket wrench and driving the bolts with a no. 3 Phillips screwdriver. Tighten all four bolts
securely to hold the tube in place.

Attach the brake strap.
plastic collar, as shown. Pull the ends of the strap so the length is even on each side. Then temporarily
place a piece of cellophane tape or masking tape over the strap at each edge of the collar to hold the
strap in place while you install the collar over the coupler tube, as shown.

Slide the collar into the lower metal band, with the outer edges of the collar resting close to the
metal brackets and tighten the band around the collar.

Tighten both metal bands securely around the top and bottom of the tube, with the collar secured
into place at the bottom by the lower metal band.
