CHAPTER 3
Some parts and assemblies on the Nexus Station are expected to require replacement after many cycles with
day-to-day use. Other parts must be lubricated or otherwise serviced at set intervals. This chapter lists parts
within the station that are replaceable and those that require routine maintenance, such as lubrication.
Refer to the table in the previous Nexus Station Operations chapter describing the parts and their func-
tions and showing their relative positions within the Nexus Station. Photos of each assembly have been
included to help you identify parts requiring maintenance or reordering. To order the all Nexus-related kits
for a new installation, see the Nexus Station Installation and Retrofit Guide.
Mechanical parts
Replaceable mechanical parts are listed and described next. Recommended
maintenance tasks and intervals are listed with each part.
Nexus Station core assembly
The Nexus Station core-turnstile assembly is a single, assembled mechani-
cal unit that includes most of the parts, electronics, motors, and other compo-
nents that distinguish the Nexus station from other stations provided by
Swisslog. It includes a turning mechanism, the five compartments that hold
carriers, RFID sensors and antennae, motors that control movement of the
mechanical parts, and the slide plate assembly and cover.
It is ordered separately from the other station components and can also be
ordered as a replacement part in the event of a mechanical or electronic fail-
ure.
Order part number 56761801 for the core only, as shown.
