Adjust the wheel width until the trolley moves smoothly across the length of the rails and the rail
assembly remains secure against the station wall at the left and the drawer bracket at the right. Then
tighten the adjustment screws to secure the new wheel spacing.
Lift the core-turnstile assembly into place
As you are raising the core assembly into the station, be careful to guide it so the motors and other parts at
the bottom of the assembly clear the top of the package frame and/or base fascia before the turnstile
assembly is placed either in the station or on a packing platform.
CAUTION! The core-turnstile assembly is heavy and contains sensitive mechanical compo-
nents. Before you begin lifting, follow the verification steps listed in the procedure to ver-
ify that it is properly attached to the pulley and that the rails and trolley are secure before
you begin lifting the assembly into the station.
Various motors and other mechanical parts are located underneath the core-turnstile assembly. It is
packed on a platform to protect those parts during shipping and installation, and it must be placed on a
protective platform when removed from the station.
NOTE. Follow these instructions to install the core-turnstile assembly into or remove it
from the station to clean, repair or replace it. When removing it, start with the trolley at the
back of the station; when installing, start with the trolley at the point nearest you.
IMPORTANT! Verify that the trolley and rail assembly are secure and stable before you attach
the core-turnstile assembly to the trolley. Follow these verification steps, and see the next photos.
Pull the trolley assembly toward you, and verify that it stops at the bolted bracket at the front of
each rail.
Check both rails to verify that the keyhole openings are properly secured around the shoulder
screws on each side.
Verify that the spring-pins on each side are engaged in the openings behind them.
Slide the trolley back and forth, and verify that the movement is smooth and the rails are not
being pulled inward.
As you move the trolley, verify that the rails remain secure on the shoulder screws, with the lock-
pins remaining securely in place.
If the rails pull in either direction as you move the trolley, go back and readjust the fit of the trolley
within the rails, as outlined previously.
