Front Panel Operation
For the Reference and DeCompInv masking option selections, Alarm, Fault, and Mask (as
previously described), plus an addition masking option, are available:

Faults can be viewed in the Stored Events Log (Sect. 5.2.2.3.2). Faults cause:

CONFIG: Remote (Remote Control)
Remote Control=Local
(Local,Serial,Ethernet,Ser+Ethernet)
Select Local, Serial, Ethernet, or Ser+Ethernet using the
keys to select Inband, and then press ENTER. Note the following:
•
When Local is selected, and then reconfiguration via Serial, Ethernet, or Ser+Ethernet is
not permitted. Remote monitoring is still possible. The selection is implemented and the
user is returned to the CONFIG: menu branch
•
When Ethernet is selected, the selection is implemented and the user is returned to the
CONFIG: menu branch.
•
Selecting Serial or Ser+Ethernet displays the submenu that follows.
5.2.2.1.8.1 (CONFIG) Remote Control: Serial or Ser+Ethernet
Interface= RS-485-2W
Address= 0001
When either Serial or Ser+Ethernet remote control is chosen, select Interface, (Baudrate), or

Interface – Select RS-232, RS-485-2W, or RS-485-4W using the
•
(Baudrate) – Select 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, or 57600 baud using the
arrow keys.
•
Address – Note the following:
o For RS-232 (aka EIA-232) – The Address is fixed at 0000 and is not editable.
o For RS-485-2W or RS-485-4W (aka EIA-485 2-Wire or 4-Wire) – Use the
arrow keys to select a digit to edit, and then use the
value of that digit. The permitted address range is 0001 to 9999. Address 0000 is
reserved for universal addressing.
Note: Character format is not selectable, fixed at 8-N-1.
Press ENTER when done.
• The Unit Status LED to turn RED
• The J1 Alarm Connector to show a Fault
