Front Panel Operation
Note the following:
Mask Type
Description
Alarm
Alarms can be viewed from the Monitor: Live
Alarms menu (Sect. 5.2.2.3.1). Alarms cause
the Unit Status LED to turn AMBER.
Fault
Faults can be viewed in the Stored Events Log
(Sect. 5.2.2.3.2). Faults cause:
Mask
Masking the event has the effect of ignoring the
event – it can no longer be logged and is not
seen in any menu.
Fault-Tx On
Faults can be viewed in the Stored Events Log
(Sect. 5.2.2.3.2). Faults cause:

5.2.2.1.1.2 (CONFIG) INTF: GBEIX

Where X designates the interface as GBEI1 (J5 | DATA port) or GBEI2 (J6 | DATA port): Use
the ◄ ► arrow keys to select IntType or FlowControl, and then press ENTER.
(CONFIG; INTF) GBEX
Interface Type:
Auto
To configure the interface type of the selected port: Use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select AUTO,
1000 Base-T Full Duplex, 100 Base-T Full Duplex, 100 Base-T Half Duplex, 10 Base-T Full
Duplex, or 10 Base-T Half Duplex, and then press ENTER.
Users should take care in making this selection as a mismatch can cause
random packet loss and connection drops. Note the following:

forced 1000 Base-T Full Duplex is a non-standard mode of operation.
Redundancy Switchover and Tx Mute
An alarm WILL NOT cause a redundancy switch
and WILL NOT mute the Tx carrier
A fault WILL cause a redundancy switch and
WILL mute the Tx carrier
Mask WILL NOT cause a redundancy switch
and WILL NOT mute the Tx carrier
A Fault-Tx On WILL cause a redundancy switch
and WILL NOT mute the Tx carrier
