CDM-750 Advanced High-Speed Trunking Modem
Flash Upgrading
Initiate an FTP session with the CDM-750 (this example uses Command-line):

a) From the PC, type "ftp xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' is the IP address
of the CDM-750.
b) Press ENTER at the user prompt.
c) Verify the FTP transfer is binary by typing "bin".
d) Type "prompt" then type "hash" to facilitate the file transfers.
Transfer the files:

Type "put FW0000305x.bin bulk:" (where 'x' denotes the file revision letter) to begin the
file transfers. Note: The destination "bulk:" must be all lower case. Allow a few seconds
for the files to transfer.

Verify the file transfer.
a) The PC should report that the file transfer has occurred, and the display on the
CDM-750 will report:
Note: This screen will display for only a few seconds. Make sure to watch carefully
to know the programming is complete.
b) Terminate the FTP session by typing "bye" and closing Command-line.
c) Verify that the new file loaded using the procedure in Step 1.
d) Change the desired image to boot from the CDM-750 font panel menu: SELECT:
Utilities
panel keypad to change to the other image, then press ENTER. The CDM-750
front panel will then display:
e) Verify the new software versions are booting by observing the following messages
on the CDM-750 display:
Note: If the Top Card Application has been changed, when booting into a new
image an additional step will occur as the CDM-750 downloads to a different flash
memory. This additional upload takes approximately two minutes.
During this time, the following messages will appear on the CDM-750 front panel
display :
Then:
FTP Is In Progress
...PLEASE WAIT
Firmware
Cycle power now
to boot from the selected image.
