options available for the CDM-750.

FAST Activation Procedure

The FAST options are linked to three option registers:
Register 1 is for Data Rate, ACM, and CnC options;
Register 2 is for Modulation and Demodulation types, and Interface options.
Register 3 is for the K4 GZip lossless compression and decompression option.
Note the following:
When a FAST Access Code is obtained from Comtech EF Data, it will be for a specific
register.
The CnC and K4 GZip FAST options require installation of the respective option card
into the internal modem board.
C.2.1 Record Modem Serial Number
Obtain and record the modem serial number as follows:
a) From the front panel main SELECT: menu, use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select the FAST
menu branch, and then press [ENTER].
b) The SELECT: FAST menu branch screen displays the modem's motherboard serial
number on the bottom line left-hand side, similar to this example:

c) Record the modem serial number:
C.2.2 View Currently Installed Features
To view the currently installed features, proceed as follows:
a) From the front panel main SELECT: menu, use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select the FAST
menu branch, and then press [ENTER] (an example of this screen is shown above).
b) Use the

c) Use the ◄ ► arrow keys to select View from the appropriate register, and then press
[ENTER].
d) Typical for any register: Use the ▲▼ arrow keys to scroll through the modem's
available FAST options. Note which options are "Installed" or "Not
Installed". Any that are "Not Installed" may be purchased as a FAST upgrade.
