Note: The number of available selections depends on the installed interfaces. When an optional
Plug-In Interface Card (PIIC) is installed in Interface Slot 1 or Interface Slot 2, the name of the
interface is displayed on the top line as per the example that follows:

Available selections include the optional Plug-In Interface Card slot 1 (PIIC1) and slot 2 (PIIC2),
data ports GBE1 (J5 | DATA) and GBE2 (J6 |DATA), and the optional optical socket
(J7 | OPTICAL).

Where X designates the optional G.703 interface as being installed in Plug-In Interface Card slot 1
(PIIC1) or slot 2 (PIIC2): Use the
Mask, and then press ENTER.
The active state of the PIIC G.703 interface is displayed on the bottom line. NONE indicates that,
although the PIIC is installed, it is not being used as the data interface for the modem. Otherwise,
the appropriate G.703 interface type is displayed here.

arrow keys to select NONE, T3, E3 or STS1, and then press ENTER.
Note: Selecting NONE disables the interface. All other selections enable the PIIC interface for
the appropriate interface type.
In non-multistream mode, enabling a G.703 PIIC interface and selection of T3, E3 or STS1 will
fix the data rate of the modem to the appropriate speed. Symbol rate will be slaved to this fixed
data rate and will change when modulation, coding, pilots or Tx frame block size is changed.
Selection of these interfaces may not be possible if the symbol rate license or CnC license will
not support the symbol rate or data rate.
