The 'Interfaces' page (Figure 6-15) is used to configure the optional G.703 Plug-In-Interface-
Card(s) (PIICs) installed in PIIC slots 1 and 2 (located on the CDM-750 rear panel). Typical for
the Slot1 and Slot2 page sections, when a G.703 PIIC is present in either or both slots:
G.703
Interface Type: Use the drop-down menu to select the Interface Type as
None, E3, T3, or STS1.
Tx Clock Source: Use the drop-down menu to select the desired Tx Clock
Source as Tx Clock, Ext Clock, or Rx Sat. It is strongly suggested that,
unless a high stability External Clock is present and timing of the
network requires all devices to be locked to the External Clock, Tx
Clock is selected.
Rx Clock Source: Use the drop-down menu to select the desired Rx Clock
Source as Tx Clk, Ext Clk, or Rx Sat. It is strongly suggested that, unless
a high stability External Clock is present and timing of the network
requires all devices to be locked to the External Clock, Rx Sat is selected.
