3.12.2 Attaching Header to an M1240 Windrower: Hydraulic Center-Link
without Optional Self-Alignment
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and
remove the key from the ignition before leaving the operator's seat for any reason.
1. Relocate pin (A) in frame linkage as required to raise
the center-link (B) until the hook is above the
attachment pin on the header.
IMPORTANT:
If the center-link is too low, it may contact the header as
the windrower approaches the header for hookup.
2. Remove hairpin (B) from clevis pin (A) and remove pin
from header boots (C) on both sides of header.
IMPORTANT:
Remove protective cover from exhaust stack prior to
starting engine.
CAUTION
Check to be sure all bystanders have cleared the area.
3. Start engine.
