Configuring the Firewall
After you have finished the UMS installation script, configure the VCX
firewall to pass UMS packets using these commands.
modfw -p ums allow 10.20.30.40
modfw -p ums allow 10.20.30.41
modfw -p ums allow 10.20.30.42
modfw -p ums allow 10.20.30.43
Each command allows ums-related traffic from Primary or Secondary VCX
servers.
This section contains a sample of the network and initial configuration
script that runs when the system is first started. The script displays the
current network settings and then asks you if you want to accept the
current networking parameters or configure them. Sample answers,
appropriate for the secondary server, are provided in bold type along with
explanations of those answers. Explanations are in italics.
