./S99vcx start
NOTE: This marks the end of the outage.
Use this procedure to replace a disk on either UMS server in a four-server
configuration.
To replace a disk on either Call Processor server in a four-server
configuration, see
Configuration", earlier in this appendix.
To replace a disk on either server in a two-server configuration, see
"Replacing a Disk in a Two-Server
appendix.
A service person arrives with a laptop that is used to connect to the serial
port on the down server. The laptop functions as the console terminal
because VCX servers have no keyboard or monitor.
The service person isolates the down server from the network to avoid
the possibility of telephones trying to access it before it is ready.
The service person replaces the disk drive and reboots the system.
