Starting the Call
Processor
To obtain the status of the Call Processor:
1 Log in as vcx to the server on which the Call Processor software resides.
2 Enter these commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/callprocessor/vcx-scripts/init.d
./S99callp status
The script that starts the Call Processor runs the Call Processor server in
the background with the Call Processor process monitor. The process
monitor monitors the Call Processor server application and restarts it if
the application stops.
Once the Call Processor is started, it is automatically restarted by the
process monitor if there is a failure, and it is automatically restarted if the
VCX server (PC) is rebooted. The Call Processor server does not need to
be started again.
Exceptions:
After you stop the Call Processor using the script with the stop option
If the process monitor exceeds the set number of automatic restarts
To start the Call Processor:
1 Log in as vcx to the server on which the Call Processor software resides.
2 Enter these commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/callprocessor/vcx-scripts/init.d
./S99callp start
