Stop the Call Processor server using a VCX Linux command script or by
using EMS.
To stop the Call Processor from VCX Linux:
1 Log in as vcx to the server on which the Call Processor software resides.
2 Enter these commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/callprocessor/vcx-scripts/init.d
./S99callp stop
To stop the Call Processor from EMS:
1 From the Explorer tab, right-click the 3Com Call Processor Server.
2 From the pop-up menu, select Maintenance > Hard Shutdown to shut
down the Call Processor server.
A dialog box appears and displays the progress of the command. When
the command has been completed, the Working icon changes to a
Finished icon.
Restart the Call Processor from VCX Linux or from EMS. Restarting the
Call Processor stops and restarts the Call Processor application but leaves
the Call Processor monitor running.
To restart the Call Processor server from VCX Linux:
1 Log in as vcx to the server on which the Call Processor software resides.
2 Enter these commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/callprocessor/vcx-scripts/init.d
./S99callp restart
To restart the Call Processor from EMS:
1 From the Explorer tab, right-click the 3Com Call Processor.
2 From the pop-up menu, select Maintenance > Hard Restart to shutdown
and restart the Call Processor.
