Using EMS

Stop the common agent from VCX Linux or from EMS.
The accounting server, authentication server, directory server, billing
support server, and the Call Processor server cannot be viewed from EMS
when the common agent is stopped.
To stop the common agent from VCX Linux:
1 Log in as root to the server on which the common agent software resides.
2 Enter these commands:
cd /opt/3com/VCX/commagent/vcx-scripts/init.d
./S99commagent stop
Use EMS to stop the common agent immediately or gracefully.
Stopping the Common Agent Immediately
To stop the common agent immediately:
1 From the Explorer tab, right-click 3Com SNMP Agent.
2 From the pop-up menu, select Maintenance > Hard Shutdown.
Stopping the Common Agent Gracefully
To stop the common agent gracefully:
1 From the Explorer tab, right-click 3Com SNMP Agent.
2 From the pop-up menu, select Maintenance > Graceful Shutdown.
A dialog box displays the progress of the command. When the common
agent has been restarted, the Working icon changes to a Finished icon.
3 Click Close.
