Preconditions
● For SIMATIC STEP 7 V13 in the TIA portal: The HSP or the GSD of the SITOP PSU8600
has been installed.
● SIMATIC STEP 7 in the TIA Portal has been opened, and a project created with an IO
controller (SIMATIC S7 control).
Inserting SITOP PSU8600 from the hardware catalog
1. Open the Network view.
2. Open the "Hardware catalog" task card.
3. If you use SIMATIC STEP 7 V14 in the TIA Portal:
In the "Catalog" palette, navigate to SITOP PSU8600 under
"Power supply and distribution\Power supplies\SITOP PSU\PSU8600".
4. If you use SIMATIC STEP 7 V13 in the TIA Portal with the corresponding HSP:
In the "Catalog" palette, navigate to the SITOP PSU8600 under
Power Supplies\SITOP PSU\PSU8600.
5. If you use SIMATIC STEP 7 V13 in the TIA Portal with the corresponding GSD:
In the "Catalog" palette, navigate to the SITOP PSU8600 under
"Other field devices\PROFINET IO\I/O\Siemens AG\SITOP PSU\PSU8600".
