220 Optional I/O extension modules
External power supply
The external power supply is needed only if you want to connect an external back-up
power supply for the drive control board.
Note: Frames R0...R4 need CMOD-02 for connecting external power supply, frames
R5...R9 have corresponding terminals 40 and 41 on the control board.

General cabling instructions
Obey the instructions given in chapter
Wiring
Connect the external control cables to the applicable module terminals. Ground the
outer shield of the cables 360 degrees under a grounding clamp on the grounding
shelf of the control cables
Motor thermistor connection example

One or 3...6 PTC thermistors connected in series.
The PTC input is reinforced/double insulated. If the motor part of the PTC sensor and
wiring are reinforced/double insulated, voltages on the PTC wiring are within SELV
limits.
If the motor PTC circuit is not reinforced/double insulated (ie, it is basic insulated), it is
mandatory to use reinforced/double insulated wiring between the motor PTC and
CMOD-02 PTC terminal.
