Modem Setup

Any modem compatible with CCITT V.24 can be connected to the Netra T4 serial
ports. Modems can be set up to function in one of three ways:
Dial out only
Dial in only
Bidirectional calls.

To Set Up the Modem

To set up your modem:
1. Become root and type admintool.
% su
Password:
# admintool
2. Click on Serial Port Manager.
3. Select Port a or Port b for your modem connection.
4. Click on Edit.
The Serial Port Manager: Modify Service window is displayed.
5. Choose the Expert level of detail.
