CYLINDER HEAD

INSTALLATION

1. Install:
• Dowel pins
• Cylinder head gasket
• Cylinder head
TIP
Pass the timing chain through the timing chain
cavity.
2. Tighten:
• Cylinder head bolts (M10)
TIP
The tightening procedure of the cylinder head
bolts is angle controlled, therefore tighten the
bolts using the following procedure.
Tightening steps:
• Apply engine oil to the cylinder head bolts
thread and both sides of the washers.
• Install the cylinder head bolts.
• Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the proper
tightening sequence as shown.
Cylinder head bolt (M10):
1st:
25 Nm (2.5 m•kgf, 18 ft•lbf)
• Loosen all the cylinder head bolts one by one
in the proper tightening sequence as shown
and then tighten them again.
Cylinder head bolt (M10):
2nd:
25 Nm (2.5 m•kgf, 18 ft•lbf)
