Diagnostic code No. – –
• If fault codes No. 15 and 84 are displayed at the same time, check and repair No. 15 first.
Notice • If fault codes No. 16 and 84 are displayed at the same time, check and repair No. 16 first.
• If fault codes No. 42 and 84 are displayed at the same time, check and repair No. 42 first.

FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
Symptom TORS control completed. (Throttle valve is fixed due to icing and not a failure.)
Check or maintenance job
Check that T.O.R.S. is really activated.
Refer to "THROTTLE OVERRIDE SYSTEM
(T.O.R.S.) CHECK" in CHAPTER 2.
Check for frost, foreign material included or locked
throttle valve.
Check whether the free play of the cable is within
the specified range.
Refer to "THROTTLE CABLE FREE PLAY
ADJUSTMENT" in CHAPTER 2.
Check for frost, foreign material included or locked
throttle cable.
Check for looseness and whether the installed
position is correct.
Check for looseness and whether it is not installed
by force.
Check that it is installed in the specified position.
Refer to "THROTTLE BODY".
Execute the diagnostic mode (code No. d:01)
Throttle fully closed: 12 – 22 is displayed.
Display is out of range → Replace the throttle
position sensor.
Check for looseness and whether it is not installed
by force.
Check that it is installed in the specified position.

Check the couplers for any pins that may have
pulled out.
Check the locking condition of the couplers.
If there is a malfunction, repair it and connect the
coupler securely.
Repair or replace if there is an open or short circuit.
Between the throttle switch coupler and ECU cou-
pler.

Chocolate – Chocolate
Execute the diagnostic mode (code No.d:24).
Throttle closed: Turn the throttle switch OFF.
Throttle opened: Turn the throttle switch ON.
Defective → Replace the right handlebar switch.
