SECONDARY SHAFT
SECONDARY SHAFT AND DRIVE CHAIN
HOUSING INSTALLATION
1. Install:
• Secondary shaft
• Drive chain housing
Installation steps:
• Install the secondary shaft.
• Tighten the bolts
Bearing housing bolt:
30 Nm (3.0 m•kgf, 22 ft•lbf)
• Install the drive chain housing
• Tighten the bolts.
Drive chain housing bolt:
43 Nm (4.3 m•kgf, 31 ft•lbf)
• Install the drive chain, drive sprocket and
driven sprocket.
• Tighten the bolt
Reverse driven gear bolt:
55 Nm (5.5 m•kgf, 40 ft•lbf)
LOCTITE
• Install the drive chain housing cover
Properly install the rubber seal onto the drive
chain housing, making sure that these are no
gaps.
• Tighten the bolts
Drive chain housing cover bolt:
M10 bolt:
43 Nm (4.3 m•kgf, 31 ft•lbf)
M8 bolt:
24 Nm (2.4 m•kgf, 17 ft•lbf)
LOCTITE
• Tighten the bolt.
Chain tensioner bolt:
10 Nm (1.0 m•kgf, 7.2 ft•lbf)
LOCTITE
• Tighten the bolt
Counter gear bolt:
10 Nm (1.0 m•kgf, 7.2 ft•lbf)
LOCTITE
