FUEL TANK
2. Inspect:
• Fuel pump operation
Refer to "FUEL PRESSURE INSPECTION"
in CHAPTER 7.

INSTALLATION

1. Install:
• Fuel pump gasket
• Fuel pump
• Fuel pump bracket
Fuel pump nut:
7 Nm (0.7 m•kgf, 5.1 ft•lbf)
TIP
• Do not damage the installation surface of the
fuel tank when installing the fuel pump.
• Always use a new fuel pump gasket.
• Install the fuel pump in the direction shown in
the illustration.
• Install the fuel pump bracket by aligning the
projection on the fuel pump with the pro-
jection on the fuel tank.
• Tighten the bolts in stages and in a crisscross
pattern.
2. Install:
• Fuel hose
NOTICE
When installing the fuel hose, make sure
that it is securely connected, and that the
fuel hose connector cover on the fuel hose
is in the correct position, otherwise the fuel
hose will not be properly installed.
TIP
Install the fuel hose connector cover
securely onto the fuel pump until a distinct
"click" is heard.
