SECONDARY SHAFT

REMOVAL

1. Remove:
• Drive chain housing parts
Refer to "DRIVE CHAIN HOUSING".
• Secondary sheave assembly
Refer to "SECONDARY SHEAVE".
2. Remove:
• Bearing housing bolts
• Secondary shaft and bearing housing
• Circlip
• Bearing and bearing housing
press machine.)
• Circlip
• Bearing (Use the press machine.)

INSPECTION

1. Inspect:
• Secondary shaft
Scratches (excessive)/damage → Replace.
• Splines
Wear/damage → Replace the secondary
shaft.
• Bearing contact surface
Scratches/wear/damage → Replace the
secondary shaft.
2. Inspect:
• Bearing
Pitting/damage → Replace.
