Description
The number of inbound frames larger than the maximum frame
length supported on the interface.
IMPORTANT:
For an Ethernet interface that does not permit jumbo frames, if
the port is a QSFP+ port, or an SFP+ port with a 10-Gigabit
transceiver module plugged, giants refer to frames larger than
1536 bytes (excluding the 4 bytes of CRC and ignoring the
VLAN tags).
For an Ethernet interface that permits jumbo frames, if the port is
an SFP+ port with a Gigabit transceiver module plugged, giants
refer to frames larger than 1532 bytes (without VLAN tags and
excluding the 4 bytes of CRC) or 1536 bytes (with VLAN tags
and excluding the 4 bytes of CRC).
For an Ethernet interface that permits jumbo frames, giants refer
to frames larger than the maximum length of Ethernet frames that
are allowed to pass through, which is configured when you
configure jumbo frame support on the interface.
The number of times that the port shut down due to buffer or CPU
overload.
Total number of inbound frames that had a normal length, but
contained CRC errors.
