Usage guidelines
You can use a 40-GE interface as a single interface. You can also split a 40-GE interface into four 10-GE
interfaces to improve the port density, reduce the cost, and improve the network flexibility. For example,
you
can
Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/49:1 through Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/49:4. The 10-GE interfaces that are
split from a 40-GE interface support the same configuration and attributes as common 10-GE interfaces,
except that they are numbered in a different way.
After the configuration, the system prompts you to reboot your device, and you must reboot the device to
see the four 10-GE interfaces.
