10.5.3.1 Major Functions [Paper Transportation]

This device transports paper between the drum and ROLL BTR so that a toner image on the drum is
positioned correctly, using the ROLL ASSY PRESS and ROLL ASSY REGI.
This device also transmits the transfer voltage output by the HVPS to the ROLL BTR via the
BEARING BTR, and neutralizes the charge of the paper transferred by the PLATE DT SAW to peel
paper from the drum. This device then transports the peeled paper to the FUSER ASSY to fix toner.
- REGI SENSOR (mounted on PWBA SENSOR)
Senses whether paper passes between the ROLL ASSY PRESS and ROLL ASSY REGI according
to whether the ACTUATOR REGI SENSOR is repositioned.
- CLUTCH REGI ROLL
Starts operation the predetermined time after the REGI SENSOR senses paper, and transmits the
driving force of the gear unit to the ROLL ASSY REGI and ROLL ASSY PRESS.
- ROLL BTR
Rotates together with the drum in the Drum/toner cartridge, coming into contact with it.
At printing, the ROLL BTR applies plus charge onto paper from its back, transfers toner on the drum
surface to paper, and supplies paper to the FUSER ASSY.
