10.2 Print Data Flow

Print data, that is sent from the printer controller, changes to print image through the following flow:
Printer controller (electric signal)
PWBA MCU (electric signal)
ROS ASSY (laser beam)
WARNING
WARNING
Host (electric signal)
The electric signals (video signals) received from the printer controller
are sent from the PWBA MCU to the ROS ASSY without performing
special processing such as buffering in the PWBA MCU.
Formation of secondary print image
A one-line dot image is drawn by scanning the drum surface while
turning on and off laser beams according to electric signals (video
signals) sent from the printer controller.
A secondary dot image is then formed by repeating this processing
while rotating the drum. The resolution is determined by the number of
dots per inch (main scanning direction) and the number of scanning
lines per inch (sub scanning direction).
