    Installing the Drum/Toner Cartridge When handling the drum/toner cartridge, take note of the following points: WARNING • Never throw a drum/toner cartridge into an open flame. Toner remaining in the cartridge can cause an explosion and you can get burnt. •...

    Installing the Print Driver and Setting Up the USB Port To print from the computer, install the software, such as the print driver and SimpleMonitor. The print driver is software that converts print data and instructions from the computer to a format that can be interpreted by the printer.

    Installing SimpleMonitor SimpleMonitor is software that allows you to check the status of the printer and stop print jobs in progress from the computer. Double-click the icon and then select the printer in the [Select Printer] dialog box.

    Printing Printing from the Computer This section explains the basic flow when printing from application software in Windows environment. (The procedure may differ according to the computer or system structure used.) Important • Do not switch off the power of this printer when printing is in progress. It may lead to paper jam.     Printing on Envelopes The procedure to print on envelopes is as follows. For details on the envelopes that can be used, refer to “Usable Paper” (P. 52). Loading Envelopes You have to close the flap of the envelope, and load it with the flap facing up in the orientation shown in the diagram below.
