Chapter 2 Troubleshooting
2.1 Advancing Troubleshooting

2.1.2 Precheck

Be sure to check the following items before beginning the troubleshooting.
1)
The power voltage is within the specifications. (Measure the voltage at an outlet.)
2)
There is no damage, short, cut-off, or connection error in the cable AC.
3)
Exactly ground the device.
4)
Do not install the device in a high-temperature, high-humidity, low-temperature, or low-humidity
place, or a place where the temperature changes extremely.
5)
Do not install the device near city water, humidifier, heater, or fire, or dusty place, or a place
exposed to the blow from the air conditioning equipment.
6)
Do not install the device in a place where volatile or combustible gas occurs.
7)
Do not install the device in a place exposed to the direct rays of the sun.
8)
Install the device in a well-ventilated place.
9)
Install the device in a solid, stable, and horizontal place.
10) The papers conform to the specifications. (standard papers recommended)
11) No error occurs during handling of the device.
12) The parts to be replaced periodically are replaced for the specified number of prints.

2.1.3 Notes on Work

1) Unless required, be sure to disconnect the power cable AC.

2) When removing the top cover of this device and turning the power on for check work, be sure to
disconnect the P/J105 and P/J106 connectors on the PWBA MCU XFABK(B) unless especially
required.

3) When touching a heated part, take care that you do not get burnt.
4) To remove the human electrostatic power of the operator, wear the wrist band and ground via the
human body.

While the power is turned on, do not absolutely touch the powered
parts.
The switch and inlet are powered even if the power is turned off.
Do not absolutely touch the powered parts.
When removing the top cover and turning the power on for check work,
laser beams may be radiated from the ROS ASSY.
Be sure to disconnect the P/J105 and P/J106 connectors on the PWBA
MCU XFABK(B) unless especially required.
