Audio Functions

USB return audio allows for two stereo audio streams (far end and playback) to appear
as digital inputs to the MediaPort. The unit processes audio outside of the computer via
a single USB connector, enabling it to be used in a PC-based, software video conference
without having to take an analog output from the built-in sound card of the computer.
The audio and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) components of the MediaPort 200 can work
as follows:
The line output in standalone mode can feed a sound reinforcement system. When used
with a DSP processor upstream, the line output can send program audio from the computer
and any other source to the DSP processor as a program reference, which can then be sent
to the far end after room echo is eliminated. A separate reference output is provided to send
the far end reference to the upstream DSP processor.
These features make the MediaPort versatile for conference rooms in which software video
conferencing devices or a combination of software and hardware devices are used.
Front panel controls and LCD display — Front panel buttons and adjustment
knobs with an LCD window enable easy system configuration and monitoring without
connecting a computer.
Front panel USB configuration port — Enables easy configuration via computer
connection without accessing the rear panel.
Two digital input and two digital output ports provide access to microphone LED
and mute functions.
+12 VDC, 100 mA remote power — Provides remote powering for various
applications, such as LED illumination for a microphone or switch plate.
Front panel security lockout (executive mode) — Locks out all front panel functions
except lock mode exit. All functions remain available through Ethernet, USB, PCS
software, and RS-232 control.
Ethernet monitoring and configuration — Enables configuration and proactive
monitoring over a LAN, WAN, or the Internet via a web interface.
RS-232 control port — Enables the use of serial commands for integration into a
control system. Extron products use SIS commands, a set of basic ASCII commands
that enable programming.
Built-in web pages — Enable the use of a standard browser for monitoring and
configuration via a web interface.
Extron Product Configuration Software (PCS) — Enables configuration of multiple
products using a single software application.
Compact 1U, half rack width metal enclosure — The half rack width enclosure is
designed for flexible mounting using the MBD 129 Through-Desk Mount kit, UTS Series
Under Table Shelf System, MBU 123 Low Profile Mount Kit, RSB 129 Basic Rack Shelf,
or RSU 129 Universal Rack Shelf, available separately from www.extron.com.
LockIt
HDMI cable lacing brackets included

Energy-efficient internal universal power supply — The 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz,
international power supply provides worldwide power compatibility with high
demonstrated reliability.
Standalone with one microphone and a computer.
With a DSP processor with AEC upstream from the device
