ATTENTION:
The length of the exposed wires in the stripping process is critical. The ideal
length is 3/16 inch (5 mm). If the exposed portion is longer, the wires may
touch, causing a short circuit between them. If the exposed wires are shorter,
they can be easily pulled out, even if tightly fastened by the captive screws.

Do not tin the wires. Tinned wire does not hold its shape and can become
loose over time.

For unbalanced audio, connect the sleeves to the ground contact. Do not
connect them to negative (–) contacts.

PAS connecter les manchons aux contacts négatifs (–).
Mic/Line audio input connector and phantom power LED — Connect a balanced

or unbalanced microphone or mono line level device to this 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive
screw connector for analog mic/line audio input. Wire it as shown in figure 5.
This connector can provide 48 volts of phantom power. The green LED to the left of the
connector lights to indicate when phantom power is present.

Audio line level output connector — Connect an amplifier, an audio processor, or

other audio device to this 5-pole captive screw connector for balanced or unbalanced,
stereo or dual mono analog program output. Wire the connector as shown in figure 6.

Alternatively, an adapter such as an Extron CSM 6 (5-pole captive screw to female
3.5 mm mini stereo jack) or a CSR 6 (5-pole captive screw to female RCA connector).
