Audio Configuration

The Audio Configuration page (see figure 52) provides information and control of the
analog audio output. The controls do not affect embedded audio on the HDMI output.
You can adjust the format, delay, and volume for audio output. Audio can be delayed or
muted and a master gain control for the selected audio is available. A user can adjust these
settings, whether logged in as an administrator or a user. Audio settings are retained during
reboot and power cycle events.

The analog audio output format is displayed in the Audio Output panel (see figure 52,
on the previous page). Click Stereo to maintain a 2 channel audio output. Select Dual

Mono when there is only a single channel of source audio. Dual mono provides two channel
output from a single channel input or mixes left and right channels and sends the mix to
both the left and right outputs.
The audio delay control (
timing differences occur between the audio and video streams. By default, the audio and
video streams are synchronized (Audio Delay: = 0 mS). Audio delay is adjusted between
+255 to -255 milliseconds.
A positive value delays the audio relative to the video.
A negative value advances the audio relative to the video.
NOTE: Audio delay changes are applied immediately, but may take a few seconds to
take full effect.
Output audio can be toggled on and off using the master Mute button (
A master level control (
(unity gain) to set or match output levels. Move the slider or enter a value in the field below
the slider to adjust volume from 0 (maximum output) to -100 (no output).
Audio mute and level settings are retained through reboot or power cycle events.
NOTE: Starting with firmware version 2.05, the embedded digital audio level on the
HDMI output tracks with the audio level on the analog output. This allows any of the
existing control methods (SIS, WebUI, IR remote) to control the level of the audio being
fed to a display connected on the HDMI output.
