Library Configuration
If a hardware error occurs, an error code will appear automatically
on the Status Screen (see previous page) and in the Robot Control
and Security box on other screens.
Two types of error codes can appear on the LCD: numbered and
unnumbered error codes. Numbered error codes must be
corrected before library operation can continue. (Refer to
Appendix C
for help in diagnosing and correcting numbered
errors.) The following example shows a numbered error code and
a brief explanation of the error.
Unnumbered error codes do not interrupt library operation.
However, these errors should be corrected quickly to avoid
possible damage to the library. For example, the failure of a tape
drive fan will not stop library operation but could cause a
component to overheat and malfunction.
For a complete description of individual error codes (numbered
and unnumbered), see
Appendix
C.
