UPSs in a parallel configuration require a dedicated branch circuit that meets the following requirements:
Three-phase, 4-wire plus ground, 208Y/120V nominal (BladeUPS 12 model) or 400Y/230V nominal,
l
380–415 Vac acceptable (BladeUPS 12i model)
50/60 Hz
l
Wall-mounted breaker that is readily accessible to the operator
l
Flexible or rigid metal conduit
l
Circuit with overcurrent protection, depending on parallel configuration (see Table 5)

NOTE
For ease of wiring access with bottom entry, place the rack containing the UPSs on
a raised floor.

Preparing the Rack

To prepare the rack for wiring:
1.
Verify that all packaging material is removed from the rack.
2.
Verify that the following items are included with the rack:
(4) leveling feet
l
(4) plastic roof caps
l
(2) door keys
l
(1) package M6 screws with plastic washers
l
(1) package matching nuts
l

Verify operation of the rack door handle:
To open the door, push in on the key lock. The handle pops up. Pull out on the handle.
To close the door, push in on the handle until it snaps into place.
4.
Verify that the supplied keys lock and unlock the door.
5.
Optional. You may flip the rack door to allow it to open from the opposite side. To flip the door:
Remove the hinge pins, then remove the door. Move the hinges to the opposite side of the rack. Reorient
the door and hang it on the hinges; replace the hinge pins.
Reverse the door handle mounting.
NOTE
The handle uses gravity to operate properly. Reversing the handle is required.
