11.6 Concluding work
Finally, plug the siren plug from the cover of the upper section into the
PCB and replace the tamper contact spring. Make sure that the
microphone is also exactly located in the upper section and place the
cover back on the upper section. Screw the upper section back in
place.
Reconnect the battery and loudspeaker cables and the connecting
cable between the base plate and the upper section. Place the upper
section back on to the base plate and tighten the housing screws.
The ISDN/GSM module is now operational and is automatically
detected by the radio alarm station. You can now start/continue to
program the communication settings. Pay close attention to the setting
of the primary transmission path. If this is set wrongly (e.g., as PSTN even
though no analogue line is connected), you will receive an error
message such as "Telephone error" or "Telephone transmission error". In
this case, check the setting of the primary transmission path and
change it accordingly.
11.7 Authorisation
ISDN / GSM / Ethernet and GPRS modules are authorised by postal
authorities all over Europe and conform with the CE according to the
1995/5/EC R&TTE directive. The manufacturer is in possession of
corresponding documents, which can be requested if necessary.
12. USB port and programming
12.1 Connecting up
Use the USB cable to connect the alarm station to your PC or laptop.
First set the central unit to installer mode to prevent triggering a
tamper alarm when removing the upper section from the base plate.
Now loosen the housing screws on the lower side of the radio alarm
station as shown in the diagram.
Now open the upper section, but this time do not disconnect the
connecting cable from the base plate, but plug one end of the USB
cable into the USB port (1) of the alarm station.
