insulation damage, looseness, shorting or other

Remove and check right side spark plugs for

damaged, burned or overheated insulation,
damaged pins and loose or broken condition
Are spark plugs and leads OK?
Warning: Yes
Never connect PCM to

box when performing El diagnostics

Install El d~agnostic harness to 60 pin breakout
box
Install the right coil tee

Connect El diagnostic harness neqat~ve lead

Set El harness type switch to "8 cylinder"

Measure voltage between J5 and J7 at 60

Measure voltage between J3 and J7 at
60 pin breakout box
Is voltage greater than 10.0 volts?

Measure voltage between J6 and J7 at

Reinstall plugs and leads
