Configuring SIP Security Features

Configuring HTTP Authentication Digest
This section describes the configuration for HTTP Authentication Digest
function. HTTP Authentication Digest is a protocol based on
UserName/Password. Using this function, SIP server authenticates SIP clients.
To make this function available, UserName/Password should be shared with
SIP server in advance.
SIP server requesting the authentication of SIP client response to the request
sent from Ubigate iBG3026 with 401 response. Using the information
contained in 401 response and UserName/Password, Ubigate iBG3026 adds
Authorization Token to a request.
Upon receiving the request where Authorization Token is added, SIP server
verifies the authorization token using the shared information. Via this
verification procedure, SIP server authenticates SIP clients.
Restrictions for HTTP Authentication Digest
HTTP Authentication Digest follows the Digest procedure of RFC 2617
'HTTP authentication Basic and Digest Access Authentication'.
Prerequisites for HTTP Authentication Digest
To set HTTP Authentication, the dial-peer voice pots should be created already.
The UserName/Password setting should be agreed upon by SIP server in advance.
