Figure 153. LMS STP System Parameters Panel
This panel allows you to view and modify the following system-wide
spanning tree protocol (STP) parameters:
STP Facility
If enabled , this parameter allows the Multiprotocol Interconnect module
to take part in the spanning tree protocol.
Bridge Hello Time
Specifies the frequency (in hundredths of a second) with which the Hello
BPDUs will be transmitted by the Multiprotocol Interconnect module
should this module become the root bridge.
STP Domain Address
This parameter specifies the address to which the Hello BPDUs will be
sent. This parameter must be the same for all the bridges to have a
single spanning tree within the network. Default for this entry is
0180C2000000.
Bridge Forward Delay Time
Specifies the length of time (in seconds) the bridge will remain in each of
the intermediate states ( learning and listening ) when it is going from the
blocking to forwarding state.
Bridge Priority
This parameter is used to determine the root bridge in the spanning tree.
The bridge with the highest priority (lowest numeric value for bridge
priority) becomes the root bridge. This is also used to determine the
designated bridge when the path cost to the root bridge is the same for
two or more bridges.
