Chapter 2: Service Error Codes
##284 [ TX ] DCN has been received after transmission
Cause
• The other party is not ready for reception
(e.g., out of recording paper).
• The user telephone number has not been
registered (if the receiving machine is a
RICOH 3000L).
• The other party cannot receive TCF cor-
rectly.
• The other party malfunctioned because of
an echo.
• Relay control was sent to the other party,
but the other party is in the middle of relay
broadcasting.

Remedy
• Ask the operator of the other party to set
the machine for reception (as by setting
recording paper).
• Register the user telephone number.
• Increase the transmission level
other party may receive TCF correctly.
• Using a manual call, press the Start button
after hearing the 1st DIS from the other
party.
• To prevent response to the 1st DIS from
the other party, put a relatively long pause
to the telephone number when registering
an auto-dialing number.
• Ask the operator of the other party to pro-
vide echo remedy 2
• Ask the operator of the other party to de-
crease the transmission level
other party will not receive an echo.
• Start communication once again after a
while.
