Tighten the thumbscrew on the faceplate to seat the PCG firmly in the chassis.

Repeat the procedure to reinstall the second PCG.

The router can have an MCS in each of the slots labeled
the chassis, as shown in "M40e Chassis Description" on page 8. To reinstall an MCS
(see Figure 60 on page 105):
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis. For more information about ESD,
see "Preventing Electrostatic Discharge Damage to an M Series, MX Series, or T Series
Router" on page 232.
Place one hand under the MCS to support it and grasp one of the extractor clips on

the faceplate with the other hand.
Align the rear of the MCS with the guides inside the chassis and slide it in completely.
3.
Press the extractor clip at each end of the MCS inward.
4.
If there is a second MCS, repeat the procedure to reinstall it.
