1. Voltmeter
2. 1.5V battery (4.5V total)
3. Gravity sensor
4. Vc terminal
5. Sensor signal terminal
6. GND terminal
7. Sensor kept stationary
8. Sensor moved up and down slowly (1 Hz)
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse removal procedure, surely referring to
Section 3C (without air bag) or 3C1 (with air bag).
GRAVITY SENSOR
REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2) Remove parking brake cover front extension.
3) Remove front console silensor.
4) Remove gravity sensor.
INSPECTION
1) Arrange 3 new 1. 5V batteries in series (check that total voltage
is 4.5 – 5.0V) and connect its positive terminal to Vc terminal of
gravity sensor and negative terminal to GND terminal. Then
check voltage between sensor signal terminal and GND termi-
nal under each of following conditions.
Sensor condition
Kept stationary
Moved up and down slowly
If measured voltage is not as specified, replace gravity sensor.
INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure for installation.

Voltmeter indication
About 2 to 3V
Deflects between 1 and 4V
