Executing an Effect in the
Multifunction Flexi Pad Control
Block

In the Multifunction Flexi Pad control block, press the
[EFF] button.
This changes the Multifunction Flexi Pad control
block to effect operation, and the [REWIND] button
and [RUN] button appear in the memory recall section.
In addition, the number of the last recalled register
appears in the alphanumeric display.

Press the following buttons to execute the effect.
[REWIND] button: Press this button to move to the
first keyframe of the currently recalled effect.
[RUN] button: Press this button to run the currently
recalled effect.
Setting the execution mode
Press the [EXEC MODE] button to switch the memory
recall section to the execution mode setting mode, and
set the execution mode with the following buttons,
then execute the effect.
[EFF LOOP] button: Execute the effect repeatedly.
[STOP NEXT] button: Execute the effect and stop at
the next keyframe.
[NORM] button: Execute the effect from the first
keyframe to the last keyframe.
[NORM/REV] button: Execute the effect as far as
the first or last keyframe, then reverse direction.
[REV] button: Execute the effect from the last
keyframe to the first keyframe.

Saving Effects

When you recall an effect, the currently recalled effect is
automatically saved in a register. This is referred to as the
auto save function.
You can disable the auto save function in the Setup menu.
By means of the following operation, you can also specify

Specify the register using the numeric keypad control
block.

Press the [EFF] button, turning it on.
This assigns the numeric keypad control block to
keyframe operations.

Press the region selection button corresponding to the
region for which you want to save the register, turning
it on (see page 444).

Press the [STORE] button, turning it on.

With the numeric keypad, enter the number of the
register in which you want to save the effect.
To find an empty register, instead of entering a
number, press the [.] (period) button. To search for an
empty register common to all currently selectable
regions, press the [.] button again.
To search for an empty register in the 100 range, press
[1], [0], [0], [.] (period) in that order. Similarly, to
search for an empty register in the 200 range, press [2],
[0], [0], [.] (period), and to search for an empty register
in the 300 range, press [3], [0], [0], [.] (period).
The register number appears in the display. If the
number is followed by a letter "e" or "E," this indicates
the following.
e: The selected register is empty for the regions
selected in step 2.
E: The selected register is empty for all selectable
regions.

To add an attribute (effect dissolve) (see page 436),
press the [+/–/EFF DISS] button, turning it on.

Press the [ENTER] button.
This saves the current effect in the specified register,
and turns off the [STORE] button. The [RCALL]
button and [STORE STATS] button both light.
To undo the saving of an effect
Hold down the [STORE STATS] button and press the
[UNDO] button.
