CYLINDER HEAD REMOVAL

Remove the following:
– engine side covers (page 2-5)
– left and right radiators (page 6-8)
– air cleaner housing (page 5-57)
– exhaust pipe (page 2-18)
– camshafts (page 8-7)
Remove the socket bolts and the left and right fuel
rail covers.
Remove the flange bolts and the left and right radi-
ator stays.
Remove the following from the cylinder head:
– two bolts and guide plate
– spark plug caps
– spark plugs (when the cylinder head is to be
disassembled)
– camshaft position sensor 2P black connector
Left cylinder head
– bolt and camshaft position sensor
only:
– O-ring
– engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 3P
gray connector
– bolt and water hose joint pipe
– O-ring
