CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM
3. Exchange the ignition cruise relay with the a
known-good one.
Turn the ignition switch to "ON."
Measure the voltage between the Black/yellow
wire terminal (+) of the cruise actuator relay con-
nector and ground (–).
There should be battery voltage.
• If there is battery voltage, replace the ignition
cruise relay with a new one.
• If there is no voltage, go to step 4.
4. Turn the ignition switch to "OFF" and remove
the ignition cruise relay.
Check for continuity between the Green wire ter-
minal of the relay connector and ground.
There should be continuity.
• If there is continuity, go to step 5.
• If there is no continuity, repair the open circuit in
the green wire.
5. Measure the voltage between the Yellow wire
terminal (+) of the relay connector and ground
(–).
There should be battery voltage.
• If there is battery voltage, go to step 6.
• If there is no voltage, check for an open circuit in
the Yellow wire between the ignition cruise relay
and fuse box (No. 19 fuse).
6. Turn the ignition switch to "ON."
Measure the voltage between the Black/yellow
wire terminal (+) of the relay connector and
ground (–).
There should be battery voltage.
• If there is battery voltage, the system is OK;
check for loose contacts or corroded terminals.
• If there is no voltage, check for an open circuit in
the Black/yellow wire between the ignition cruise
relay and the PGM-FI ignition relay.
