Apply oil to the seal rubber and threads of a new oil
filter cartridge and install the filter cartridge.
Oil filter wrench
TORQUE: 26 N·m (2.7 kgf·m, 20 lbf·ft)
Install the oil drain bolt with a new sealing washer
and tighten it.
TORQUE: 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 lbf·ft)
Fill the crankcase with the recommended oil
(page 3-11).
OIL CAPACITY:
3.6 liters (3.8 US qt, 3.2 Imp qt) at draining
3.7 liters (3.9 US qt, 3.3 Imp qt at filter change
4.6 liters (4.9 US qt, 4.0 Imp qt) at disassembly
Check the engine oil level (page 3-11).
Install the oil filler cap/dipstick.
Make sure there are no oil leaks.
Install the following:
– right engine side cover (page 2-5)
– front lower cover (page 2-13)

RADIATOR COOLANT

Check the coolant level of the reserve tank with the
engine running at normal operating temperature.
Remove the left engine side cover (page 2-5).
Remove the reserve tank cap/dipstick.
The level should be between the upper and lower
level holes on the dipstick with the motorcycle on its
center stand on a level surface.
If the level is low, fill the tank to the upper level hole
with a 1:1 mixture of distilled water and antifreeze
(coolant preparation: page 6-6).
RECOMMENDED ANTIFREEZE:
Pro Honda HP coolant or an equivalent high quality
ethylene glycol antifreeze containing silicate-free
corrosion inhibitors
