Hold the fork slider in a vise with a soft jaws or shop

Remove the dust seal.
Remove the stopper ring being careful not to
scratch the fork tube sliding surface.
Using quick successive motions, pull the fork tube
out of the fork slider.
Remove the following:
– stopper ring
– oil lock valve
– oil lock spring
– spring seat
– stopper ring
Remove the fork piston and rebound spring from
the fork tube.
