GEARSHIFT LINKAGE/TRANSMISSION
MAINSHAFT ASSEMBLY
Apply engine oil to the gear teeth, sliding surfaces,
bushings and bearing.
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the gear shifter
groove.
Assemble the mainshaft.
See NOTE on
page 10-33.
Install the dowel pin into the crankcase.
Install the mainshaft assembly by properly aligning
the hole in the needle bearing with the dowel pin.
