5. Set the welding time.
6. Set the welding power.
IMPORTANT! Adjust the time and the power according to the thickness
of the metal sheet.
7. Before welding on a vehicle, check the set welding program by
performing a strength test (refer to section 4.11 "Performing
strength tests").
8. Fit the multi-function gun with a single spot electrode (refer to
section "Fitting the multi-function gun with a single side
electrode").
9. Grind between the inner and the outer body sheets to remove paint,
primer and rust. This ensures good electrical contact when
performing a single spot weld.
10. Ground the welding object (refer to section "Grounding the
welding object when performing single sided spot welding").
IMPORTANT! It is important to ground the welding object to obtain
quality weld nuggets.
11. Press and release the trigger (see Figure 1.3) to weld.
IMPORTANT! Be sure to begin welding at the point farthest from the
ground connector.
