4.6.3 Changing the yoke

Changing the cap
1. Turn off the water cooling.
25. Grab the piston electrode at the end and hold the electrode in place
with a 16 mm wrench (5/8").
2. Twist the cap off with a suitable tool.
To access hard to reach areas, the CR500 range c-tong can be fitted with dif-
ferent yokes. The following yokes are supplied with the c-tong:
Yoke, 80 mm (3.2")
Extension yoke, 330 mm (13.2")
The c-tong can also be fitted with the following yokes, which are available
as accessories. (510, 530) By-pass connection must be used when using the
600 mm yoke and fender edge yoke.
Extension yoke, 600 mm (24")
Fender edge yoke
The yokes are changed as follows:
NOTE: (510,530) Make sure that the cooling unit is turned off before loos-
ening the yoke.
1. Loosen the yoke by turning the handle counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the yoke from the c-tong.
3. Insert the extension yoke onto the c-tong.
4. Fasten the extension yoke by firmly turning the handle clockwise.
5. (510,530) Perform a manual impedence calibration when changing
the yoke, see section 4.10.6 "Setting up User 2".
WARNING! It is very important to turn the handle firmly to secure the
yoke.
