Removing the Base I/O Board

Follow these steps to remove the base I/O board:
1.
Disconnect the SATA and IDE cables from the base I/O board. Then loosen the PCI
retention strap (see Figure 3-16).

2. Remove the three screws that secure the PCI gate. Then open the PCI gate (see
Figure 3-17).
